Hi guys,
Ogame player here trying my hand at Ikariam, but I noticed something that is a little bit silly in the game options.
I am fluent in Mandarin, so I could play the game in TW ( Taiwan Chinese ) if I want to, but selecting TW gives me Taiwans flag. I am not Taiwanese.
I am a native speaker for English, so I can select either UK or US english, but selecting UK or US english gives me their respective flags. I am neither from the UK or the US.
As I am an Australian, living in China, playing on a TW server, its a little bit frustrating that I can only be labelled from one of these three countries.
Please, seperate language from flags. Its 2023.. there is a flag emoji for every country on the planet right now, it honestly couldnt be that hard to program in a seperate drop down list to choose your native country flag, rather than being forced to take a flag that you might not associate with or have political views on JUST BECAUSE its " US English " or " UK English ".
Selecting a language should not automatically select a country flag, please seperate language selection from flag selection

Language and flags separately is what I like to have a "nice to have" feature there. It could be also an option of showing multiple flags that indicates that I can speak more then one language.
On discord, badidol shows off a huge rejection of this idea, so his standpoint remais as "the whole discussion remains pointless. the reply will still remain the same. flags are merely language selectors, nothing more, nothing less. where there is no separate language as in separate translation as in "requires an extra language file", there will not be a flag. and that reply is and remains final."

At the end, turn off the flag is a viable option here for me too...

I switch the game to the language I'm learning, I have the flag hidden for these purposes. It would be nice to have my country's flag permanently selected, regardless of which language I'm currently playing.
