Dockyard Build Requirement Bug

  • Interesting bug:

"Your Town Hall must have reached level 35, or the Governor’s Residence of your colony level 10."
So in my towns with Lvl34 TH and Lvl11 GR I can build, in my capital with Lvl34 TH and Lvl11 Palace I cannot :D

  • Where is a bug? In the capital you obviously cannot have the Governor's Residence, so you have to have a Townhall at least 35th level.

Ho come on dude have some good faith.

    Palace = Governor's Residence
They forgot to configure the conditions for the palace and now you make it sounds like "hum yes, i see no problem here, it was intentionnal yep yep"

Next update please correct the mistake this is what people are asking.

Because you cannot have a GR and Palace in the same town ... so the implication is that Palace should be included as the condition is present as an either\or.

No, it should not. These are global requirements.

That's great you have some fun. :)

It being a global requirement, why can't I build the dockyard in my level 1 town? Must be a bug since it is a global requirement.

  • Global requirement = is a requirement applicable to any town. There is no granular requirements, like 'a 35th level town hall in capital or 10th level governor residence or at least 35th level townhall in colonies'.

Should the palace be included? Most likely not, because in the end this is meant for high level players with high townhalls and residences.

Should the help text be more granular? Not sure, as my experience shows the players do not like reading anyway.

  • Yeah and the palace is the governor's residence for the capital. Therefore should count as fulfilling the requirement.

Imagine having a lvl 15 palace but being denied the construction because your capital is not "developped enough" according to the guy who coded the building and FORGOT to include the palace xD

in the end this is meant for high level players with high townhalls and residences.

Guess what high level players also have ? High palaces !
AT LEAST they could accept that we saw their genuine mistake and maybe put it one lvl higher for the palace ?
No, they will not accept it, they will double down on thier mistake and say it was all intentionnal even if the result doesn't make any logical sense. Coorporation talk 101.

EDIT: Also what happens if you move you capital to a town where you don't have a townhall lvl 35 ? The building just deletes itself ? The game doesn't let you do it ?

  • I'm curious if this was an oversight or if it's on purpose. It seems a little odd that the Capital doesn't get the same benefit as all the lesser towns (colonies). The fact that it's a global effect doesn't change the equation here. :/

How do I report forum bugs?

Your title is displaying incorrectly, it says "Forum Administrator" when it should say "Forum Troll" 🤣

The global requirement" is obviously meant to represent how "advanced\mature?" the Town\Player is based on the TH and GR\(Palace) so that you could not drop a dockyard into a new town\mobile and benefit.

The same way you report game bugs. You just choose forum instead of game.

But it only works on bugs, not trolls. ;)
