Ikariam Version 8.8.0 incoming

Dear players,

with Version 8.8.0 we're going to implement some changes many players have been asking for for a long time.
8.8.0 will enable you to expand your empires even further with more colonies and higher building levels.

On 06.09.2022 at 10:00 CEST we'll roll out this version to DE1 (Alpha) and EN44 (Zephyros).

We will closely observe the development on these servers and gather your feedback.
Following up on these observations and the feedback we'll provide a date for the rest of the servers later on.

Dear players,

on Thursday, 15.09.2022 around 10:00 CEST we will roll out 8.8.1 on DE1 and around 11:00 CEST EN44 and the recently started new servers will follow.

To be clear: the servers that currently are running on 8.7.3 will continue to do so after tomorrow, only the servers running on 8.8.0 will get 8.8.1 tomorrow.

As previously stated, 8.8.1 addresses bugs and issues that were found with 8.8.0 and does NOT change any of the actual balancing/mechanic changes the version brought. 8.8.1 does therefore not include any of the feedback and things we learnt from watching the stats and logs on the servers with 8.8.0 yet. As previously announced, that feedback will be incorporated in a follow-up version and we have not yet fully decided on which way to go with most of those things.

8.8.1 includes the following bugfixes:

Bug fixes and changes

• fixed an issue causing the premium features not being paused during vacation mode
• fixed an issue preventing players from being able to sell more than 3 types of units in black market
• fixed issues with premium builder overview missing sea chart archive and having the buildings in wrong order
• fixed an issue where switching from the occupy town screen would sometimes lead to game crashing
• fixed an issue where a message for not having enough ambrosia to automatically extend duration of the premium feature would be sent in the server language, rather than selected language
• fixed the FAQ of account transfer items giving missleading information
• fixed the help menu missing research requirements for the buildings
• added a column in help menu, showing overall capacity of the Depot

As far as decisions concerning your feedback and our observations are concerned, we'll keep you updated on those as soon as we have made them.

Dear players,

tomorrow, 22.09.2022 between 10:00 and 15:00 CEST we'll be rolling out 8.8.2 to all servers.

8.8.2 includes all the changes of 8.8.0 as well as 8.8.1 and the following new changes:

• Thanks to player feedback, the following changes have been made:
  • To keep in line with the old building times, the longest building time is now 20 days
  • The following buildings now take less time to complete:
    Town Hall, Academy, Warehouse, Palace, Governor’s Residence, Trading Port, Trading Post, Forester’s House, Glassblower, Alchemist’s Tower, Winery, Stonemason, Depot

• Account transfer items in the shop:
  • New account transfer items can be found in the shop

What does this mean for me?

It means, that all live servers will, after tomorrow 15:00 CEST, be running on the same version again. Every server will therefore have the same new raised building level caps, etc.

As already stated in previous announcements, we'll continue to address issues such as trade ships etc. in subsequent versions.

We'll also continue to closely monitor the situation and react to changing circumstances in a timely fashion.
