I can imagine an enemy planting a bunch of floaters on someone's forge/poseidon/colossus island and then "voting" to change the wonder to something useless. While well intentioned, I think this would be even more dangerous than wonder leeches.

I vote no on this suggestion.

This issue you created is kind of easy to fix, and you know it.

Actually, there are many possible ways to prevent it from happening.

    1) One option is to simply not allow people to change Monuments when someone on the isle is at war, or if any city on the isle is occupied.
    2) Only allow players to vote who have had cities on the island for more than X days.

And of course the cooldown to constroy/destroy make this tatic u suggested harder to happens

The real problem is that many Monuments are simply useless, while others are much more commonly used and beneficial, and the islands where these good monuments are located are usually always full, while nearby islands with bad monuments are completely abandoned.

In Ikariam, there are some monuments that are completely useless — especially depending on whether we're at war or just farming. Depending on the current situation, some monuments are clearly more useful than others.

So, my idea is simple: allow us to destroy the current monument on our island (with a certain amount of time required to do so, similar to what we already have with Governor changes), and give us the option to build a different one. There should also be a construction time and a cooldown period before being able to rebuild other monument again.

:!::!:It would also be great to have some kind of voting system, where all players with a town on the island can vote on which monument to build.
That way, decisions would reflect the needs of the whole island community, not just one player — and it would prevent anyone from changing the monument by themselves without the agreement of the others.:!::!:

Hi, already said it in somewhere else, but i think no one saw it.
Anyway, I'm new to the forum, so sorry if this post already exists or if I’m posting in the wrong place. By the way, I have 2 suggestions to make battles in Ikariam more fun and strategic:

    1. Allow us to change the battlefield layout: Create different battlefield layouts with the same number of slots (and of course, make sure they are balanced). But let us adjust the number of melee slots or side/flack slots while keeping the overall balance. For example, if you add one more melee slot, you’ll lose a range or side slot (ensuring the total number of slots stays the same). This would make battles more interesting and enjoyable, allowing players to use different strategies depending on the number of troops they have or who they are attacking. But of course, if you don't use the ranged slot, for example, you will have more losses in melee slots than people who use it, or if u dont use Gyrocopter, u wont be abble to kill baloons, and consequently, have more losses aswell.

1.1 Additionally, another suggestion would be to have a set of different pre-existing battlefield layouts, such as a more defensive layout (which results in fewer melee losses, for example, or fewer losses on the flanks) or an aggressive layout, which causes more losses but also deals more damage.

    2. Add a new spot place in the battlefield for a "General/Admiral", as well as a new troop/fleet. In this spot, you could use just 1 general (or admiral, if it’s a sea battle) that provide different boosts. For example, choice between:

    • General 1: +6 defense for all melee troops
    • General 2: +6 attack for all long-range troops
    • General 3: +3 ammunition for all short-range troops

Or other boosts as moviment speed for fleets, accuracy for range troops/fleets, more morale for all troops, etc, etc,etc

And so on. But just 1 general allowed to be used on battlefiled, making the battle more interesting and much more strategic.

as i said before, sorry if im posting something that is already being discussed.

    Thanks anyway,

    Cya
