For the test server can accounts be granted some resources to upgrade the resource plots

It is all very well having all this new stuff to test out, but if our Quary and Forest are all lvl 20, we will never collect the resources required to do the building.

In 1000-round grind battles, any advantage is important.

You also missed out the first part of my post - players are not making the investment, whole alliances are making the investment in a few key members. What is 1000m gold or wood (to convert into crystal) to a large alliance? It does not even cost that much Ambrosia to do the conversion if a player has the storage capacity to build high-level buildings.

So are all alliances on all servers now doing the same as is happening on the server I am a member of.

All the general players are now feeding a few key alliance members the resources/gold needed to upgrade their fighting units in their workshop as fast as possible.

This is just an out-of-control arms race that makes it impossible for 99% of the server players to fight in any major conflict. Instead, they are just there to feed the nominated fighters. Over time we should also see players become strong enough to raid not based on the size of their forces, but instead on the overwhelming advantage caused by the research they have done.

One question for anyone who is doing the research - just how easy are the Barbarian battles now?

Attached is another view - This one is taken from the Forester's House

This view has not been updated to show the detail in the same way as the lumber mill, but

Basic Production is a combination of Worker Production + World % and Event bonus %. This is then uprated by the Forester's House %, but there is no uprating for Gods.

At the time of writing, the bonus from the gods is not correctly shown or calculated on screens other than for gold, which does correctly show when you look at gold production in the top right panel.

My Gods' Shrine is at lvl 41 and Pan is currently at 1,000 Favour, which should cause 85% to be shown in the table.

As for the maths as I understand it, it should be

    ( Worker Production * ( World + Event bonus ) ) * ( Forester's House + Gods (Pan) )

At the moment to get an output of 254 per hour from 100 workers the maths seem to just be

    ( Worker Production * ( 1 + World + Event bonus ) ) * ( 1 + Forester's House )

It seems that yesterday we were impacted by the merger of the TR, BG, US servers.

So all the different instances are being deployed on the same physical equipment (maybe as VMs) so the heavy workload caused by a merger goes and impacts some/all of the already merged servers trying to get their worlds back up and running.

Perseus is now stuck in something of a death loop at the moment - it takes so long to reply to a request that the player has already made more requests that it then has to process - repeat until it takes so long that whatever timeout is coded is reached.

By any chance is are there memory leaks within the server code base that have normally been handled with a daily reboot? All the additional activity is likely to result in the need for more than one daily reboot if such leaks are being handled as just part of a daily cycle.

Having a database that needs to rebalance its data structures during quiet times will also cause the same problems if there is no available quiet time.

What is the point of the percentage modifier to change the unit effectiveness if the base value for each unit type is not published?

We currently have one random value changing an unknown value that results in a damage score that rewards us with an unknown amount of resources at the end.

We need a lot more info about how this merger will be handled. Things that come to mind are

    - Donated resources?

    - Refunds for premium building locations?

    - How do we get dropped into the new world?

    - Do we get free move tokens to allow us to move our towns around?

    - Will there be a period when fighting can not take place and if so for how long.?

    - What will happen to builds that are in progress during the move?

If someone puts up an offer for say 1,000,000 wood and I have 800,000 wood in my town the 'Accept bid' screen/panel has problems

If I have more resources than the total amount being requested by the buyer I can

    - Set the number of Freighters I want to use

    - click max next to the sell amount on the resource line I wish to sell

    - click sell goods

If I have fewer resources than the total amount being requested by the buyer

    - clicking the max button does not affect the Sell field

    - If I enter a certain amount of resources in the Sell field it may

    - allow the order to be placed once the sell goods button is clicked

    or

    - cause an error stating that the fleet does not have enough space when I click the sell goods button.

The attached image of the Accept bid panel shows the second form of the error

    - I have about 450,000 wine available in the town

    - I have selected 8 Freighters so I could send up to 400,000 wine

    - I have had to hand-enter 350,000 as the max button does nothing

    - Clicking Sell goods results in the error shown - "Your trade fleet doesn't have enough space
