The new settings posted on Discord sound more promising than the initial ones.

I'll post them here, for people that are not on Discord:

Smaller communities with 2 target servers will be able choose between these 2 target settings.

    Setting 1

    • Production of Wood and Marble will be 35% higher than normal.
    • Trade Ships are 25% faster than normal.

    Setting 2

    • Production of Wood and Sulfur will be 50% higher than normal.
    • Production of Wine is 10% higher than normal.
    • Troops and ships are built 25% faster.
    • Land units are 25% cheaper to build.
    • Land units move 50% faster than normal.
    • Priest conversion rate increased by 40% (7 conversions per priest instead of the normal 5).

Bigger communities with 4 target servers will be able choose between these 4 target settings.

    Setting 1
Servers like they used to be back in the
"good old days". No bonuses. Just plain old default values.

    Setting 2

    • Production of Wood and Marble will be 35% higher than normal.
    • Trade Ships are 25% faster than normal.

    Setting 3

    • Production of Wood and Crystal will be 35% higher than normal.
    • Scientists create 25% more research points.

    Setting 4

    • Production of Wood and Sulfur will be 50% higher than normal.
    • Production of Wine is 10% higher than normal.
    • Troops and ships are built 25% faster.
    • Land units are 25% cheaper to build.
    • Land units move 50% faster than normal.
    • Priest conversion rate increased by 40% (7 conversions per priest instead of the normal 5).

Well, it's clear to me that the players that created 10+ accounts (since this is allowed now) are the ones cheering the murdering of old maps. Of course it is easy to grab "sweet spots" and the use the donations from 11 accounts to make yourself comfortable on your own islands.

How is this fair, compared to the old players that choose to play this game with just one account? WHY are we being forced to create more accounts, just to keep up with this style???

Of course donations are a joint effort, but making a stance that you deserve to carry the benefit of now extinct players is perhaps not a very strong argument.

Yeah, right when the game was updated and more and more resource income is required, it is the BEST time to ditch the world development and get used with mines at even lower levels, just because some of the donors are no longer present.

I'd be trilled to play more with even less income, when the next buildings cost increases exponentially. This is exactly what we needed, right???

The problem is that this game was a continuous development game. I play this for over 16 years. I had friends that played with me on the same islands, we developed together, but along the road, they just quit. Their donations will be just lost, with this "merge".

I am not complaining that I am losing something that I did not contributed to, I am complaining to the fact that the game will change it's course with this so-called merge, by ditching the donations made during these 16 years.

I don't know about you, but I am curious how easy would it be to rebuild the mines we used to have, just with donations from the players that donated in a few years, versus donations from 12-15 years, but now are gone.

I don't understand those who complain. I made a very high donation on my own island. Another player came to the island and didn't donate at all. He played on me and the players who weren't in the game and always improved his account. Now he is complaining about the donations he didn't make. Now it is more fair. He will also make a donation and improve the island resources

What makes you think that after the merge, it won't be the same? Let's suppose you will get on the same islands as this player. You will donate your donations, he will not (since he does not have any donations). He we will STILL benefit from your donations without donating!!! HOW is this better?

Do you realize that donation system is based on team-work? NOT on individual work. So what happens to the donations of the players that deleted their accounts? Those donations will just vanish! Even if you donated a lot, this does not even compare with the donations from all the players that are now gone.

From what I've read (and actually also I am a little bit nervous about this), the major problem is that this is NOT seen as an actual merge.

From how this change was presented, this is more like a "reset and start from scratch", NOT a merge.

Not saying good or bad or leaning in any direction there, just wanted to point out: that is, however, one of the main points of feedback from previous merges being taken into consideration, where a lot of players complained about why we did NOT merge onto completely new servers.

As I said: I am not against of merging into completely new servers, but I do not like the idea of throwing away years and years of world development.

With this merge, you say: ok, go ahead and use your donations score to increase your mines. But are you taking into considerations that many many players that donated are no longer part of our current worlds? Bilions and bilions of resources that are now part of our game will just be lost. WHY?

This won't be just a simple merge, it will be a contest of how fast are the players to occupy islands with high donations score. And this is NOT fair for every player. Maybe I catch spots on islands with players that have high donations score, maybe I do not. But this was NOT the intent of this game. This was a game of continuous development, not a reset and rewind, like Travian was.

OK, go ahead and throw us into completely new servers, but do NOT throw away the worlds progress. It will be a HUGE mistake and it will completely change the purpose of this game.

Whoever wants to start on completely new server just go ahead and create an account on new server, there are plenty. But don't throw the entire player base into what 10-20 players want.

From what I've read (and actually also I am a little bit nervous about this), the major problem is that this is NOT seen as an actual merge.

From how this change was presented, this is more like a "reset and start from scratch", NOT a merge.

A merge is where a server merges into an already evolved server, where players can continue their development on an already developed world.

But here, it seems that we have to just throw away all these years and years of development and planing, and start from 0. Of course, we don't start from 0 with towns, but with islands, with the world itself. And this will have a HUGE impact.

For example, in my case, since I am playing this game for over 16 years, for some reason I lost my early donations. My donation score is a joke, even though I've donated a lot in the early weeks of the game. The mines where I am settled now have these levels because of donations of other players that do NOT exist, at the moment. They just quit the game, but I continued here.

Basically, we should start on a new world, with donations, but you don't keep in mind that in our current world we have donations that are just vanished. Even if they are not OUR donations, it is part of the game we played until now, and should NOT be erased.

I don't know how the new world would look like, I am not against a merge, but I do not like the idea of starting from scratch, with level 0 mines. At least, copy the progress of a current world (with regards to the mines levels), and put us all there.

At least, this is my opinion on how this merge should be addressed.

True... that is a good option.

But you know, it is quire hard to gather millions of wines in just two week from 3 wine-towns that are producing EXACLTY what all the towns consume in total :D

So, I'll just gather resources in one town to transform them in wine, after the merge.

No, I am on a very old server, with cities across all resources. I only have 3 wine towns because this is enough for every towns, 6 on sulphur with forge, 1 crystal just for fun and Poseidon and the rest are on marble.

This 1000 satisfation is a joke, compared to the 6000+ citizens towns.

I assume that we will lose all the CTs, wine income will also be a joke if starting from L1, so to keep up the population in the first days will be close to impossible.

It does not matter. Still, the 4-server merge gets way more bonuses than the 2-server merge, even for the choice #1. But my question was: WHY? Why can't I also have those juicy benefits from the 4-server merge???

I have a curiosity: WHY some merges get way more bonuses than others?

For example, the 4-server merge gets way more and attractive bonuses than the 2-server merge. This is decided based on WHAT?

So, we demolish buildings because we need new buildings but we don't have enough space.

How would this new building fix our issue? By occupying ANOTHER building slot?

Think about this: if there would be an extra slot (where I would put this so-called Recycling Plant), I would NOT be forced to demolish a building!

    Hi,

After a pillage, my trade ships are lost in space. The pillaged resources are in town, but no trade ships.

I am playing on Beta, romanian server, from Chrome mobile.

I temporarily changed the game language to English, so the game interface is understandable to everyone.

Attached are screenshots with proof of missing trade ships.

They are missing for more than 15 minutes.

So, the introduction of Shrine was great, for some resource boost.

For the moment, it is very welcome.

But, in order to deal with the incoming resource requirements and not to leave our accounts to our grand-grandchildren, the next big thing could be, for GF, to stack-up the bonuses, instead of adding them all to base production.

I know this how they worked until now, but this could be a useful resource income boost, that we will for sure need.

Usually this happens in two scenarios:

    1. Right after an account transfer (the points will be back to normal after about 1 day).

    2. The account is banned.

Can you post a screenshot with your city view from an island? Where all these points are displayed.
