Ik ga het wellicht niet doen, maar dat is omdat ik me liever op een enkel groot account richt dan op vele kleintjes.
Ik zal intern nog eens een rondgaande sturen wanneer de server live gaat.

Those pointing out that you can't do god protection mode playstyle with the gods: correct. However, with the free Ikariam Plus period you got in the beginning there was an option to raise town hall to level six.
Yes, but you cannot keep Godly Protection without continued usage of Plus, and you cannot down-level a Town Hall.
False. I know enough players who made the upgrade to level six in god mode with ikariam plus and came out to tell the story.
See correction Draxo below.

I was wondering something and I think asking it here I will solve it.
In order to research The Seat of the Gods a Level 5 Town Hall is required.
This request for the Town Hall has to be in the city where the Gods' Shrine will be build or you should just have one townhall in any city of your empire?
The town must have city level 5 or more.
You can find the building requirements under the help section:

Some people are choosing not to do the upgrade, but know there is at least an option to do it.
On Discord you'll find under announcements that there is a -20% building time bonus active from Thursday until Sunday end of day included. So I think this might be intended.
i already have 1000/1000. don't need to donate? if i donate 100. will it be 100/1000?
It won't give you more blessing effect. But the blessing duration will increase if you do.
Display MoreBy the way, it is a bit strange that a new area of research was created for only 7 researches. Will this area expand?
After all, you're talking about Greek Mythology, GameForge.
Yeah, it is the worst thing in this update. If we got entire new field of research, give us much content – I mean researches which would cost millions of points (content for months, e.g. with Futures like in other fields).
I hope this Mythology will be develop (next Futures could give us for example +1% or 2% to production or something to easier reach the favor). For both experience and development, it is better to have smaller updates fast then very large updates now and then. This way you can control both impact and opinions and improve, rather then waste time with a large update which might not be what we as users would like. Give feedback what you expect from the building/functionality. Yes, there are a lot of gods, but how do you see them improve/change the way of playing the game? These Gods now function to increase gold/production materials, what else could be improved?
For me this update seems to make it necessary to make use of the cargo ships, or buy more normal ships. I got around shipping 2 million goods per 24 hours most of the time, but with this update I have to spend more time, or use my time more efficient. I think I will start using the cargo ships.
Good job to GF. Like badidol explained in earlier posts, all updates are planned in a holistic way. Looks like GF is getting the needs from requests of us players and instead of just implementing those as is, thinks of even better solutions. Very happy with how the game is evolving!
Smaller updates over time also gives the community a little nudge to wake up again, which is also nice.
I made the opposite assessment though: I will probably need more cargo ships than regular trade ships. But my built is different in the sense that my towns are as much apart as they could theoretically be. ![]()
The new building needs to be put in one city only. I would be very much surprised if you won't find that place in any current or future towns. ![]()
Otherwise: it's a matter of making choices. I made mine in the past, where I decided to cut down on some things to keep spots available in my town for future patches. In all of my towns I have one spot available. And at most of them even two. So for me this is not a sacrifice at all.
The only difference between our builds might be: 1) I don't have many warehouses. I only have 1 dump and 1 warehouse currently. Will that change with future needs? Sure. But that's future work. 2) I don't have academies anymore as I finished all my researches (and kept a strategic reserve of 20M just in case).
And of course the bugs start. Anyone else not seeing Ally towns in green on islands anymore ?

So far the bonus is pretty sweet. +28.7% wine productions (based on top of base productions) with a shrine of level 19 (out of 41) and blessing rate of 500 (out of 1000) is pretty spectaculair. My speculation is that the blessing rate stays active as long as the blessings period is active. And, yes, you read that right: the gods are already giving me more resources than the +20% production boost feature.
Total cost to bring shrine to maximum is about 22 million with best discounts. But only the last few levels are the most expensive resource burners, making it fair for smaller players still. But since you only need to build it once, it is a way better return on investment than your normal production boosters I think.
Things I've observed boosts the production blessings:
* the level of the shrine - achieved by building
* the blessing rate - achieved by donating daily reward points and keeping the blessing alive
* the building level of the shrine limits the impact, but so far it hasn't been a factor for me
Extending the blessing period:
* initial activation gives it a couple of days start bonus(?)
* adding blessings extends it a bit (seems more like hours than days though)
* for 600 blessing points, you can extend the period with 1 day for a god you pick
* for ambrosia, you can extend the period with 2/7/14 days - which is a massive benefit
You can assign the bonus to one city or all of them. So far I don't see a disadvantage for assigning one god to multiple ones, unlike what I've noted down earlier. Please correct me if you find something more specific. So far, I would say that the feature is pretty much worth it, so I'm going to be investing in expanding the shrine to maximum level first thing now.
Keep in mind there is a 20% production boost event this weekend, so the actual rewards of the gods will be 20% lower in normal situations. ![]()
Yeah, but you can bless all your towns at the same time. I think the catch is that the blessings run out faster if you bless more of them (but that is speculation while I'm figuring out how it works).
There is an option to buy blessing for up to two weeks with ambrosia if you don't want to deal with daily tasks. ![]()

Doctors only heal human fighters. They never heal machines or walls.
Like Beros mentioned, damage that is not killing the enemies gets redivided over the rest of the group. That's a mechanism that makes walls a bit harder to breach once they are of sufficient high level.
Whether or not you use doctors is up to you. Most people don't use it because it's too negligible compared to upkeep. You could say that is no longer a big concern, but limited boat capacity (to transport the troops) still is. So I would recommend a lower number rather than a higher number if you must.
The difference might be tenders. They don't have infinite ammo, and changes in composition of ships on the field can disrupt how they can heal between rounds. Alternatively, the size of ram ship waves can also impact how much 'rest' damage they accumulate between rounds.
But that's my first guess based on limited information.ram ships are melee ships, they do not need ammo.
They don't. But tenders have ammo (although not clearly documented in-game). Additionally, depending on how big you group your waves (100 rams versus 1000 rams), the remaining damage may play a role. Between rounds, the game will rebalance all the damage of the non-killed units over the whole group (same unit only). This is pretty much invisible, but also plays a role in losses.
That's what I was referring at.
I've donated 40,000 material to production but still showing 0 / 20,000
Why do the mods change things that work well for years?
Perhaps you need to press the 'refresh progress' button? It doesn't update on its own.

(commenting as a player)
Not sure if I understand your proposal for damage points correctly. That's what the sum of attack/defense points would be already today. I wouldn't combine these two because AP/DP have different rates at which they fall down, so it's a very misleading picture to do so. Additionally, you're proposing showing it as a score, while the damage would only be limited to the war between the parties. Assuming you want to show the score under the gauntlet tab itself?
We have the ability to declare a gauntlet war on another player in game and our stats are tracked. Why do we not have the same ability to declare an alliance war and track stats?
That's not correct. If I recall correctly, diplomats can declare gauntlet wars with other alliances. This has always been an option.
The main difference with your proposal (which would be tweaks/improvements) is that a gauntlet war needs to be accepted by both parties, whereas your proposal (rightfully so I think) also leaves room for wars declared by only one of the parties.
I like the third idea. Would that be an accumulative score, or a slowly dropping one, like AP/DP?
To get a battle report from an attack I believe you need some of your troops to have survived or for the combat to last more than one round. The easy way is to include a cook or tender (as appropriate) in your attack.
Won't work if cooks/tenders are the only troops left.
If the battle ends in the first round, you won't see the result. Some exceptions apply when you are the defender, but there it depends if your army keeps the fort (or it is your town to begin with).
If there is no 'deviation' from faith on another island (for instance one island has level 5 faith, another one has level 3), then they add up the same, regardless if they are on the same island or different ones.
Both strategies have their advantages.
On a single island (with multiple towns), you can influence the faith levels better. But if they get down, you are taking a big impact.
On multiple islands (with one town each), there will be a high chance you will have at least one island with level 5 faith on. But if faith levels go down, you can't fix it on your own.
I have no say in this matter, so I'm speaking a player here:
The way I see it, we already had a major tweak in town satisfaction in the update that raised the town levels. That gave us some margin for when cultural treaties would be harder to come by, especially when people would get more and more towns over time.
But a dynamic compensation (more boost when amount of players drop below a certain level) could be a middle-ground.
