What do we want to see in the NEXT Update?

  • Another thing is, fix issue about buying generals while bombing ... Sometimes you can buy, sometimes not ! you buy from spot A, (while your city port and town are not blocked) but you buy from another player that is in spot B , so there are no real reason to bombs change the buying situation . i understand if you would sell, and you couldnt while bombing or battling in that city, but when you buy from player, who has no fighting anywhere near,... no logic at all.

    If honestly I have no idea what you are talking about here. If you think something is a bug, please report it.

  • Hi All,

    I’m coming from a small server where the top players have 1mil points and I’m ranked 10 with 800k. I want to invest in a dockyard in my capital but it will not be an easy task and it will take me a month and halt almost all other constructions.

    my goal is to be able to buy a large ship or two with the capacity of 100k to transport grape between cities and fully dedicate my trading ships for raids. So my question is:

    If I build the dockyard just in the capital, let’s say City A. And I have 8 cities B, C, D… Will I be able to use these cargo ships between the other cities? Let’s say I want to use them between city B and C. Knowing that these cities will not have a dockyard.


    2nd question: if not, will I be able to send resources from City A to city D even if the city from the receiving end does not have a dockyard?

  • You can use the the new cargo ships aka Freighters as you like, doesn't matter what city have the Dockyard. You can use them to send good to other people too, doesn't matter if they have any Dockyard or not.


    You can send goods from any city to any city to any player(including you).

    You can't transport units(land army).

    its extremly slow, but its a possiblity

  • I'd like to see additional achievements put in for the new building levels and dockyard.

    Not sure what options would be better: completely new achievements, or adding to the existing ones and breaking the 1 to 6 symmetry most currently have.

    A miracle one that counts the number of each miracle you have. ie: level 1 : one Miracle, lvl 2 ; four miracles, lvl 3 with eight miracles, lvl 4 with 12, lvl 5 with 16 and lev3l 6 with 20.


    It would also be nice to have the daily tasks altered so as to be all possible as dailys. There are 3 that are almost impossible to do daily:

    • Research something.
    • Donate to upgrade of miracle.
    • Unlock an achievement.

    Perhaps change 'Research Something' to 'Research x amount of points.' (100K. 300k?) Change 'Donating to a miracle' to 'Using a miracle.' The "Unlocking an achievement." option is not a daily - at least not for long - but I can't think of an appropriate alternative in the same theme. Open to suggestions :-)

  • I agree with some people before me – new kind of daily quests would be very nice. E.g. write or get x messages to other players (5?; 10?).

    New achievements too. Our current system is good, but I would adjust it to new game version (cargo port levels and maybe some other ideas).

    This is for newer players only.
    When somebody got researched everything and unlocked almost anything, you can't do any of it.

    But donating is possible even on sawmill, not only a miracle. I think.

    I agree, at that late game stage, research is not possible at all, let alone daily. But there is a long period of time when someone has not researched everything but is unable to do anywhere near one research per day. Getting a set amount of research points for a daily task, similar to donating to a mine, would be nice. Imagine how rare the "Donate to a resource deposit' would be if it was "Expand a resource deposit."


    DM is correct. The Miracle donation is one task, the resource deposit donation another. Miracles are quickly maxed out as they only go to level 5. Its quite possible to do that in 2 days. Mines apparently just keep getting bigger and, as such, can be donated to daily indefinitely.


    Unlocking achievements is a long, slow process for most of us. After several years of effort, I am only on 617 of 724 and will be a long while yet completing the remaining 117. BUt , as noted previously, I can't really imagine how this could be altered to be a true daily task.

    I can absolutely agree with that. The server where I play is also amazingly dead. There are hardly any active players anymore. I think the best course of action would be to connect the servers that don't have enough online players to a more populated one.

  • Shorten the combat rounds. Fifteen minutes? Really? Loading and transport times are already limiting factors, combined with actual shipping capacity limits... We are going to need to be able to pillage at a reasonable rate, to obtain these resources in something resembling a single lifetime. Shorten combat rounds to five minutes.

    While I agree to almost everything above, I don't think we should touch the battles and shorten them. Keep in mind that not all players can spend all the time at the screen, so 15 mins per round gives them an option to do something else (which would not be possible with 5 or 10 mins).

    I agree to this suggetion and what "Scythe" have written here.

    1. One thing that gameforge should provide players with was a battle simulator. I remember that when I started, one of my biggest difficulties was understanding how the battle worked and evaluating what would be an advantage or disadvantage. If gameforge puts this tool in the game it would be able to keep more new players. Of course, turn-based battle is not linear and we all know that battle knowledge exists. But a simple one-round simulator would be enough for a noob to train in battles with the barbarians and evolve to understand the basic fighting mechanism.
