Level 40 Wall: is it worth it?

  • So I just noticed that a wall section can only kill 1 unit, doesn't matter how powerful the weapons are. Since the damage improvements is pointless once you get past steam giants HP... Is it really worth to upgrade the wall? Any level 40 wall experiences vs mortars?

Bonus question: what's precision? And why is it important on a wall?

    Thanks im advance!

  • Precision is the chance of a unit to hit a damaged unit. For example, if there is 1 damaged hoplite + 1 full health hoplite vs 1 hoplite, there is around 90% chance that the damaged hoplite will receive the damage instead of the full health one

Well with a 40 lvl wall your opponent must have mortars for some rounds to break it, meaning that if you are smart and bomb the shit out of your opponent before he actually attacks you and manage to break his mortars, doesn’t matter if he has 1 million hoplites because he will not be able to breach your wall.

However, for this little trick it’s not worth the cost until hyper late game, when you have millions of resources to spare

    Cheers

I m pretty sure if you repeat the same test ( 1 damage hoplite + 1 non damage hoplite vs 1 hoplite [ 2 hoplites vs 1 hoplite + doctors]) you will obtain the same result every time

Well thats how precision works, run the test but with a low precision unit, for example 2 slinguers vs 1 slinger + doctors and lets see what happens. Also its important that the 2 slingers come from diferent citites each so they are separated

It depends on your enemy troops, with mortar of course it will be easily broken but more time to do it compare with wall level 10 for example. it is worth to upgrade it when you have done built everything needed on your town.

  • There are more bonuses for upgrading a wall than just number of units killed. The garrison limit goes up, and the amount of effort you enemy needs to get through the wall goes up each time.

And for those who like to build up TS, high level walls can add a hefty amount to your TS.
