How? Ikariam, before infinite upgrades, had limitations based on 4 level 40 warehouses and 1 level 40 dump. If you used the steamlifter (2x storage) that's the maximum amount you could build (not everything was limited by storage, some buildings did have an actual level cap). Once all 12 towns were upgraded to that level, you had nothing else you could do besides attack people. Even if you wanted to build something, you couldn't.

Now? You don't even need steamlifter. You can keep building any other building as long as you have the storage for it. This means that players have to make a choice between attacking and building. It also means you should only attack/pillage if it's going to be profitable for you. Obviously, not everyone follows this rule, but there's a lot more motivation to do that now.

Also, we're about to have a merge so you can choose to merge to a different server type.

VPNs have been and will always be against the rules. There's nothing confusing about that.

And still, people use it and do not get banned. Can you see it is useless to "report, report, report"? Plus, according to Badidol, Discord does not have any partnership with gameforge to let them know who is breaking the rules. Also, even though there are logs for every player action, they refuse to use them to ban people. After all this time, you still love the status quo.... or, you just love chatting just for the sake of it.

So they have finally achieved the goal of making the game totally unplayable.

I mean what were they trying to achieve???? It boggles the mind.

Also, there's no reason you need to go into vmode anyways. Just sell or donate your res off and go into gold mode while you wait.

They cant shut it down as german law says they have to refund players that paid cash for ambro. When these bully's merge to new server it will be the same thing, turn honest players into farms. I also mention discord because cheating is discussed all the time there and badidol says they prefer that to this forum and thats why there is a link to discord where the link to the forum used to be so it is relevant. Anyone on the GF discord including badidol gets the ads spamming for cheats, accounts, gold, gens, hiesenberg scripts and every exploit under the sun. I doubt he can deny that he did not get the messages.

Extortion that results in pushing is against the rules. Extortion into using the trading post, black market, or trading, is not against the rules because it does not result in pushing.

Selling 100k generals for min price to fulfill the request is not against the rules because any trade done with the Black Market does not create a pushing scenario.

Yes, it does.

It's very clear from that post if you have a VPN on, either accidentally or intentionally, the game will not let you login and play.

It is also true that if you turn the VPN off, the game starts working normally and you can play without an account penalty.

The penalty is only the ability to access the game.

No. They have another game, Ogame. In that game all upgrades are unlimited so you can always build a higher level mine, research a higher level research, etc.

Ikariam wasn't projected to be like this. With single player servers, it would take almost forever to get where we are now. Thanks to alts, a lot of players got everything faster, and because there are no mandatory buildings, no one is required to build anything but the essential buildings to keep satisfaction high. Building is fun as long as you know your ROI will be positive, which is not the case.

I can see now what Badidol said regarding maintenance nightmare. There are so many variables to take into account that they forgot the most important one: free-will. When it comes to single player server, I don't think it would be a maintenance nightmare to have ONE single player server per country. In case that's too much, create one server in most crowded communities such as UK and US.

They wouldn't need to create anything new, they would remove codes, which is quite the opposite of maintenance nightmare. Then, in case this doesn't work, they can merge servers like they always do. I've already said something that, even though the 72 hour rule is live, still makes sense: half of the community has what they want, but the other half doesn't. No. They have another game, Ogame. In that game all upgrades are unlimited so you can always build a higher level mine, research a higher level research, etc.

Wouldn't it be interesting if Ikariam also had unlimited building levels, higher level upgrades, etc. as this gives players more dimensions to grow their account in. They've been slowly implementing it over the years with the infinite upgrades update.

Again, this is overwhelmingly a good thing for the player base because it gives you more things to build and more things to upgrade. It has made crystal more valuable, etc.

I keep hoping they'll do the same for Miracles soon.

Ikariam wasn't projected to be like this. With single player servers, it would take almost forever to get where we are now. Thanks to alts, a lot of players got everything faster, and because there are no mandatory buildings, no one is required to build anything but the essential buildings to keep satisfaction high. Building is fun as long as you know your ROI will be positive, which is not the case.

I can see now what Badidol said regarding maintenance nightmare. There are so many variables to take into account that they forgot the most important one: free-will. When it comes to single player server, I don't think it would be a maintenance nightmare to have ONE single player server per country. In case that's too much, create one server in most crowded communities such as UK and US.

They wouldn't need to create anything new, they would remove codes, which is quite the opposite of maintenance nightmare. Then, in case this doesn't work, they can merge servers like they always do. I've already said something that, even though the 72 hour rule is live, still makes sense: half of the community has what they want, but the other half doesn't. I don't know why you bring up single player servers. With IP sharing, you're not allowed to directly help yourself, so anyone playing by the rules hasn't gotten anything faster than someone with one account.

Ya, I'm done and camping all 3 of my legally ip shared accounts till the merge. Like I said, they made the bully's that cheat unbeatable with upgrades at 25 to 30 with half a million gens each and half a billion gold and I as well as 53 of our 200 alliance members have been locked down for over 3 weeks now. 60 members in v.mode and another 14 long time players with close to 100 million scores inactive. The Crow, the reason this happened to you guy is because you kept fighting, you even quoted someone offering you peace terms earlier: Multiaccounting - Do game operators ban top 50 players?

Just pay the 100k general tax and have peace. Sheesh. It's not like they aren't giving you an out.

Also, there's no reason you need to go into vmode anyways. Just sell or donate your res off and go into gold mode while you wait.

Extortion is against the game rules and it's been reported half a dozen times. For the life of me I dont know why you keep responding with such mis-information. Camped is not v.mode,it's sitting with no res or wine and just waiting for the merge. It means not building or playing the game as intended.

Extortion that results in pushing is against the rules. Extortion into using the trading post, black market, or trading, is not against the rules because it does not result in pushing.

Selling 100k generals for min price to fulfill the request is not against the rules because any trade done with the Black Market does not create a pushing scenario.
