A kind of giant monster has appeared on the server, and you can send land or naval unit commands to attack it.

Open the world map to see which sea monsters you can face. On the map, click on the icon of a specific monster to take part in the event and send your troops into battle against it.

As in previous versions of this event, there is a special information bar in the interface; you will find it at the top centre of the game screen. This bar displays the event’s progress as well as which monster is currently being attacked. You can also use this bar to take part in the event and send your units into combat against the monsters.

Note: If you click the X, the banner will disappear. To make it appear again, you need to log in to your account again.

    k3sAiNn.png

The monster has X health points per milestone.

    PM42LHk.png

The total health mainly depends on the stage level and the number of players on the server (the exact formula and all parameters are unknown).

The entire server can attack the monster; it does not regenerate, and all units sent are lost immediately (1 round).

Miracles (Forge, Poseidon) and the Workshop have no effect.

It is possible to reduce the travel time of the sent command using Triton (10 minutes of standard loading time and 10 minutes of attack time with 200% Triton)!!

Note: You can spend 20 Ambrosia for the attack to arrive in 10 minutes (12 Ambrosia for Triton and 8 Ambrosia for instant loading).

10 minutes is the standard loading time.

30 minutes is the normal travel time.

No trade ships are consumed for sending the attack.

    O2tP22p.png

You can only send ONE command at a time!!

The size of your attack is limited, so you need to send the most damage-efficient composition. It is not possible to send thousands of units at once (the total weight is limited to 1000; for example, a Spearman has a weight of 1, so you can only send 1000 Spearmen).

The monsters that appear have different strengths and weaknesses against certain units, randomly determined for each stage. These stats are displayed in the event interface so you can choose your units accordingly. (You no longer need to attack first to see each unit’s effectiveness.)

Each unit adds a specific weight:

    Unit – Weight

    Spearman – 1

    Swordsman – 1

    Slinger – 1

    Archer – 1

    Hoplite – 1

    Steam Giant – 1

    Carabineer – 1

    Ram – 1

    Catapult – 1

    Mortar – 1

    Gyrocopter – 1

    Bombardier Balloon – 1

    Spartan – 1

    Unit – Weight

    Fire Ship – 1

    Steam Ram – 1

    Ram Ship – 1

    Ballista Ship – 1

    Catapult Ship – 1

    Mortar Ship – 1

    Rocket Ship – 1

    Submarines – 1

    Paddles – 1

    Balloon Carrier – 1

In addition to weight, there are two parameters that determine the damage dealt by a unit:

    • Hidden damage per unit
    • Efficiency (% bonus/penalty)

A unit’s efficiency is displayed on the command screen before it is sent and varies for each monster stage, being different on every server.

    9WhgkYD.png

    LbxD3AD.png

So, each unit, during a round, has a different percentage of damage bonus/penalty.

For each stage, you need to check these percentages again. They appear to be random, ranging from 80% to 120% in the 2025 edition.

    Therefore:

    • Unit Power: Easily determined, just check the menu before starting an attack; constant.
    • Efficiency: Easily determined, just check the menu before starting an attack; random; changes every stage.

This leaves us with the last parameter: Hidden Damage.

As the name suggests, it is hidden, leaving no trace; it must be calculated manually as rounds are restarted.

    Rewards

Defeating the monsters can earn you various rewards for your feats at sea. Glorious sailors can unlock achievements with exclusive titles and a large amount of valuable resources!

Note: Rewards will not be delivered immediately after the event ends. To ensure server stability, rewards will be sent to event participants over several days. This means not all players will receive their rewards at the same time.

    Achievements

You can unlock the following achievements and titles, found in the new Events category in the game:

    • Participate in the Abyssal Ambush Event 50 times

      Grants a new title.

    • Participate in the Abyssal Ambush Event 150 times

      Grants a new title.

    • Participate in the Abyssal Ambush Event 300 times

      Grants a new title.

    • Reach the Top 10 in the Abyssal Ambush Event
    • Reach the Top 5 in the Abyssal Ambush Event
    • Reach 1st place in the Abyssal Ambush Event

      Grants a new title.

    Resources

You will be rewarded with Building Materials, Wine, Marble, Crystal, Sulfur, and Gold for participating in the event.

The calculation is now based on the resources you invest in your units when sending them to battle against monsters. A monster’s strengths and weaknesses against your units (per round) will continue to influence how much you are rewarded. The more damage you deal to a monster, the more resources you receive.

The coefficient for each resource is set individually with different values and varies between events. This also applies to the added fixed reward because lost resources are taken into account, even if the damage dealt were zero (which is practically impossible), the rewarded resources will never be less than the resources lost during combat due to defeated units.

Server effects (i.e., unit cost reductions) are considered in the reward calculation.

Buildings that reduce unit costs are not considered. The actual base costs of the units, before any reductions, are used to calculate rewards.

    Example:

    • If you train units in a city with a -50% cost reduction, spend 200,000 resources, you get 400,000 guaranteed back.
    • -40% cost reduction → spend 200,000 → get 333,000 back
    • -30% cost reduction → spend 200,000 → get 285,000 back
    • -20% cost reduction → spend 200,000 → get 250,000 back
    • -10% cost reduction → spend 200,000 → get 222,000 back
    • 0% cost reduction → spend 200,000 → get 200,000 back

Depends on the level of the Firework Test Area and Carpenter's Workshop cost reducers and resources already spent in the Barracks/Shipyard.

Even if you are not victorious, you will finish the event with positive resource rewards.

    Resource reward calculation:

Resource reward = resources lost + (damage dealt * coefficient) + fixed reward

This calculation is done individually for Wood, Wine, Marble, Crystal, and Sulphur.

Gold calculation is slightly different, with the following addition:

    • For each lost unit, add the number of citizens used to train that unit.
    • The total lost citizens are multiplied by 5.

    Resulting formula for Gold rewards:

Gold rewarded = (lost citizens * 5) + (damage dealt * coefficient) + fixed reward

From now on, resources will be placed in your inventory as items (not in your warehouse as before).

Extra rewards for the Top 3 players

The top three players on each server will also receive an additional reward package containing various items.

    Also,

Normal AA: The top 1 player receives a dolphin icon that can be activated in the Town Hall.

Special AA: The top 3 players receive a custom icon for their rank. When activated, it applies to all towns of the player.

    More Event Information

The leaderboard now has an Alliance tab to display your alliance’s total damage.

You can search for specific names in both the player and alliance rankings.

Monster strengths and weaknesses have been adjusted: instead of 60–120%, the range is now 80–120%, meaning disadvantages are less severe if ideal units are not selected.

A close button has been added to the event banner.

Your own ranking is now permanently displayed on the leaderboard.

    Good morning!

After many requests, I will be sharing on the forum the information I found about the event:

The final reward amount is unknown, so make the most of the event!

  • Note: If you click the X, the banner will disappear. To make it appear again, you need to log in to your account again.

So if you're thinking "I don't want it to be there, but I don't want to log in again either," be prepared to rediscover the World Map from scratch at each new milestone (so if you're going to close it, note down the coordinates.)

Why isn't it like other activities, with "stable parchment on the right"?

In the first event, many players closed the icon, including me, and then we were all lost until some GO told us to login back into our accounts through the lobby, haha
