There isn't any rule for buying. Thus is not cheating. But is very odd, that noone is sharing the place of where the Market is.
I have seen people who were increased their Generals in 2 hours. From 20K generals to 200K generals
And from 500K generals to 600K generals
Same with the Gold. In some hours they get 1000K of Gold, or 5G of gold.

Most likely the market is a secret for a reason. They're specifically pushing gold to that account. If I had to guess, they're trying to build a general bank.

No. Trade treaties. When I traded with my friend like that, he'd setup a trading post post of wood for a high price and I'd send my ships to buy it. Since I was purchasing and we had a trade treaty, they were immediately removed from the market.

Though, I will say, when we were selling resources at high prices, we'd just list them. If someone else decided to buy wood for 18g each, well, that's on them.
We also did everything through the trading post so we wouldn't have to worry about pushing, we just never round tripped stuff (like selling wood for 18g, then buying it back for 3g). -

Although it may look shady, in reality it isn’t necessarily suspicious. A big account with many cities (12+) can start troop production in all of them simultaneously and time it so that everything finishes at the same hour. This is vital because:
a) you avoid having small, unfinished parts of your fleet exposed until the full force is ready, and
b) you don’t waste gold on maintaining a large fleet that you cannot yet use, since production is not complete everywhere.
This way, you can gain up to 200k troops within a single hour. The reason is that the ranking updates once per hour (as far as I know, around xx:25). So whatever happens between xx-1:25 and xx:25 will appear as one big jump in the next refresh.
Of course, someone can also use one of the troop storage “banks” that almost every alliance has nowadays. But that’s not the only way to suddenly get 200k troops.
As for the “1000k of gold,” maybe you meant 1000kk or 1kkk (1 billion)? Because 3M can easily be obtained just by selling 300,000 resources at a rate of 10. There’s nothing strange about that transaction.

A player with a big account (21 cities) can have all that generals, that you are reffering to.
Just a footnote. The server is from 2025. Even in Pangaia I haven't seen a single person having so much Generals. (without being in vacations) An Ikariam Legend (don't search it, it will ruin your server)
