small accounts with lots of generals and a sea of gold...

They're always on holiday.

They only come into play to plunder gold,

and then they go straight back on holiday.

Situation A

These accounts don't play, they're not active... they were created just to have generals available at any time.

OK... it's a strategy... nothing wrong with that.

But the system allows them to be untouchable.

You never know when they'll come into play and you have no way to defend yourself or counterattack...

Situation B

It's right that gold can be pillaged on ARES... it's one of its fundamental features

But I think it's time to find a way to protect some of it, otherwise accounts like the one in situation B will become more and more numerous and will increasingly damage those who play actively and correctly.

Situation C

I find it hard to believe that an account like this could have accumulated so many generals and so much gold... is it possible that there is a bug?

This is obviously a gen bank. First thing i would do is pay attention to the towns closest to him and if their not in his alliance watch to see if he loots them. You need a lot of gold to run a gen bank that large and theres a chance he has a lot of illegal multis that are not IP shared that he uses to loot gold from.
