    While we're looking into the feedback we're gathering, we've been authorised to give you a small preview of parts of what Milestone 3 of Infinite Horizons will containt.

    We're aware, this addresses only small parts of your current feedback. We'll address your concerns about building costs, resource production and the battle system further along the line in upcoming posts once game design and product manager have finished going through your feedback.


    Introducing Chronos' Forge!


    With the Infinite Horizons Part 3 update, we’re introducing a powerful new building that brings strategic expansion to the next level: Chronos' Forge!

    What is Chronos' Forge? Chronos' Forge is a brand-new building designed to reduce construction times for all your buildings within the city it's built in. As you level it up, the time savings become even more significant.

    • Applies to all buildings in the same city
    • Reduces both construction and upgrade times
    • Does not affect its own construction time
    • Does not affect resource nodes on the island

    How Does It Work?

    Every level of Chronos' Forge grants a percentage-based time reduction to building times. That means the more you invest in this building, the quicker you'll be able to level up everything else.

    • Construction times shown in the building window will reflect the reduced duration
    • Hovering your mouse over a building’s timer will reveal the original time, the reduction bonus, and the final build time

    Requirements

    You’ll need a Town Hall Level 5 to build the Chronos' Forge. Construction costs scale with each level.

    While this information gives you a preview of what to expect, please note that all values and effects are still subject to balancing and may change before the full release. We're committed to gathering feedback and fine-tuning this system via our Public Test Server.

  • Dear players,


    tomorrow, around 10:00 CEST, we will be rolling out version 14.0.0 on the PTS (lobby-test.ikariam.gameforge.com).


    This will include:


    Changes:

    • new Building "Chronos Forge", it reduces the construction time of all town buildings except its own in the town it is built
    • removal of the 20d maximum building construction time, CAUTION the ingame help shows the construction time without the effect of the Chronos Forge which can result in very big values!
    • the bonus granted by the workshop upgrades for Land and Sea units is now 5 times higher than before
    • changed interval for price increase of building construction time speedup with Ambrosia to 1h
    • changed maximum price of building construction time speedup with Ambrosia
    • removal of the cap for Merchant Ships you can buy
    • changed the effect that is granted by an active Hephaistos Forge, lowered the damage and raised the defense for each level
    • new level caps for all island mines
    • new level caps for all buildings, some of them are just for highscore points (see points below)
    • the effect of the building cost reduction buildings (Carpenter's Workshop, Wine Press, Architect's Office, Optician, and Firework Test Area) is capped at 50%
    • the effect of the resource production increase buildings (Forester's House, Winery, Stonemason, Glassblower and Alchemist's Tower) is capped at 140%
    • Palace level 21 and above doesn't raise the maximum amount of cities, the current maximum of 21 cities remains (1 Capital + 20 Colonies), but you can occupy cities of other players even if you have reached the maximum of own cities as long as your Palace is high enough
    • Palace and Governor’s Residence level 21 and above can counter the corruption of Government Forms to get 0% Corruption even with Aristocracy or Oligarchy
    • the taxes defined by the Black Market can't go below 1%
    • the minimum training time of units at the Barracks, Shipyard and Hideout is 1 second per unit and 10 seconds per training task
    • the effect of the Sea Chart Archive is capped at 90% travel time reduction


    Bugfixes:

    • Trading Post - Accept sale offer - Max input does not adjust automatically when removing selected ships
    • Several fixes for the backend

  • Wednesday, 21.05.2025 between 10:00 CEST and 16:00 CEST, we'll be rolling out version 14.0.0 to all live servers.


    The contents are:

    • Changes:
      • New Chronos’ Forge building reduces the construction time of all buildings in the town where it is built (excluding itself)
      • Removed the maximum construction time of 20 days. NOTE: The in-game help displays the construction times excluding the effects of Chronos’ Forge, hence the values can be extremely high!
      • Workshop bonuses for military land and sea units have been increased by a factor of 5
      • The increment for the price increase for reducing building construction times with Ambrosia has been increased to 1 hour
      • The maximum price for reducing building construction times with Ambrosia has been increased
      • There is no longer a limit to the number of Merchant Ships which can be purchased with gold
      • The effect which can be provided by Hephaestus’ Forge has been changed; the damage increase per level has been reduced while the armour buff has been increased
      • New maximum level for all island resource deposits
      • New maximum level for all buildings. Some of these levels only provide highscore points (details below)
      • The effect of buildings which reduce construction costs (Carpenter’s Workshop, Wine Press, Architect’s Office, Optician, and Firework Test Area) is limited to 50%
      • The effect of buildings which increase resource production (Forester’s House, Winery, Stonemason, Glassblower, and Alchemist’s Tower) is limited to 140%
      • Palace levels 21 and above do not allow you to build more towns. The current maximum of 21 towns (1 capital and 20 colonies) remains unchanged, but the player can occupy enemy towns despite having reached the maximum number of towns, assuming the Palace level is high enough
      • Palace and Governor’s Residence levels 21 and above can combat the corruption caused by certain government forms (Aristocracy and Oligarchy) to reach 0% corruption, even if you have the maximum number of towns
      • The tax rate on the Black Market cannot be lower than 1%
      • The minimum training time for units in the Barracks, Shipyard and Hideout is 1 second per unit and 10 seconds per training order
      • The effect of the Sea Chart Archive is limited to a 90% travel time reduction
    • Bug fixes:
      • It was not possible to withdraw Freighters from a transport mission unless one Merchant Ship was available
      • After choosing to buy the maximum number of units at the Trading Post, this value was not updated automatically when changing the number of ships selected for the mission
      • Various backend fixes

      • Hideout: Capped the maximum number of Spies at 80.
    • Bug Fixes:
      • The effect of the ‘Changed Building Construction Times’ temporary event remains visible in the help, even after it has ended.
      • Various small backend fixes.
