    The upgrade for merchant ships has hit a wall at the moment. Capacity increased from 500 to 580.

    Yeah, both stopped at 4 for me, too, saying the building had insufficient levels and my workshop was max level.

    Unless you don't upgrade your units at all, someone who has +5/+5 over you isn't that impactful.

    I agree forge will be more important than an extra point or two in upgrades but you're not thinking long term enough.

    let's say one player has 100 points damage, they have a 20% boost from forge that's 120


    another player who has put in 5 upgrades will be at 105 base will be at 126


    full extra point higher in damage from forge, it doesn't sound like much but we don't know how big the gaps will become in practice.


    I'd already said they're increasing all the base stats to dilute upgrades but with no cap on upgrades they add up overtime and with no end. that's a problem imo.


    You also need to remember that currently forge gives 2 points not 20% to armor or did this change?
    so the player with 5 points more armor that could be very noticeable because they're taking fewer losses as well.

    Considering the cost to have 100 points in damage, if someone does workshop that hard (each level costs double the amount of the last) they deserve the W.

    Max levels did not change.

    Chuck "Bee" Bashlick is correct badidol said the majority of "players" are on discord so discord is where a lot of the news, discussion happens, including any player polling.


    They claim thats where the players are but GF use to have a good message board till they murdered it years ago, is it any wonder more players are on discord?

    But eh.. anyway biggest problem I have with it is they have the security set to max so you read but you can't post on discord unless you have a verified phone number (with discord not GF)

    Badidol says they had spammers so they enabled that security setting.

    It's not like they don't show up and engage on teh message board anymore but any serious discussion / polling is done on discord, so if you're not on it verified you don't have any real input.


    I think that's why we ended up with the server settings changes that we did during the big merger last year.. It was fine but people on discord whined and then there was a vote and we needed up with what we ended up.. the one time GF should have just did what they wanted the 1st set of server settings was okay imo.


    but I digress.

    tbh I am a developed account and having to destroy a building for a workshop sounds annoying. I can do it, but kind of don't want to.....

    At the same time the extra spot for other towns will be used for warehouses which turn out to be the real MvP in the end of the day!

    So do we get an extra building spot or do we have to destroy one to build the workshop that we were told was not needed after all upgrades?

    tbh I am a developed account and having to destroy a building for a workshop sounds annoying. I can do it, but kind of don't want to.....

    At the same time the extra spot for other towns will be used for warehouses which turn out to be the real MvP in the end of the day!

    For sure,with half the server running around with up to 700,000 gens a guy can use as many warehouses as he can get.
