    I'll post a few cr's that show how unlimited upgrades make this game unplayable.

    Mine are 15 and change and that's playing honestly and using ambro to change for glass. For starters this guy has 5300 tenders, unlimited gold and gens because of illegal multi's.


    This opponent is unforged.His steams are 16 and 17

    This game used to be fun, I have been in top 5 offence scores for years fighting, sometimes all night but it was fair and skill was needed. There is no skill needed now. Someone please explain to me how unlimited upgrades made this a better game.

    Badidol ,explain how this is better like I'm a 9 year old.

    You can not beat these guys that cheat and dont say they dont because us old timers know how they do it and you do to because you are not dumb.

    Heisenberg scripts and bots Badidol and you know they are being used just like all the old timers playing do.

    This is round 10.




    The unlimited upgrades are the final nail in the coffin and a desperate attempt for GF to make money off Ambro.

    Getting bad when it takes 9000 ships to take out 2500. I'll post the end if it happens. They dont need a lot of carriers now that you cant kill them.

    No wonder everyone is leaving the game.

    First, there's no proof that this specific person (or any specific person) in the game has illegal multis. If so they'd be banned. At best, The crow , can suspect they're illegal multis, but there are a variety of legitimate relationships (friends, relatives, etc.) that they could be and that they simply aren't interested in playing Ikariam competitively. If you do believe someone is cheating or an illegal multi, you need to use the report player button in game.


    Again, I understand that certain situations can be highly suspect, but I'd advise everyone to refrain from accusing other people of cheating without any proof.


    Additionally, cheating and swiping also look similar so they could also be big spenders. I posted previously on how little you'd need to spend for an advantage like this (~$1600 for 50m crystal, less with 100% instead of 80% ambro bonus).


    The crow has also always complained about cheaters, frequently without any proof. You can look through his post history yourself, but here's an example from 2021: How do I unregister my legal multi accounts?


    If you have a bigger score than him? Cheating. Fight him? Cheating. Etc, etc.


    While there certainly are ways around this (and no, I won't explain more than that) it is very unlikely that it is VPN related.


    Now to address the game play issues: Infinite upgrades requires that you are competitive with your upgrades. There's actually a different issue here than the upgrades themselves and it's the issue with tenders. badidol has addressed that tenders will be fixed in a future update.


    "Correction: no, doctors and tenders were not planned not to be included, this was an oversight. And it was replied to already several times, that in a future update this would be remedied."

    The crow also complains about stuff that isn't against the rules like this: Multiaccounting - Do game operators ban top 50 players?

    Extortion involving the trading post, black market, or trading 1 to 1 does not create a pushing scenario so it is allowed via the rules.


    Finally, if The crow wanted the war to stop, his alliance could simply agree to the above agreement. Again, if it was against the rules, reporting it would be an immediate ban, but nothing happens because it isn't against the rules.

    Look, on one hand I agree with you, but on the other hand, I can say this is our fault too. After many threads posted, it is clear that only 50% of the community has what they want. Instead of going to V mode and leaving the game, they keep playing it. In my case, I hit v-mode. Some of my mates decided to go inactive.


    As for the rest, they keep playing the game. After this merge, everybody who doesn't like the game now can have the option to do the same. If that happens, they'll probably announce a new merge within this year. It's just a matter of time. I shared my opinion regarding this problem multiple times. They don't need to obey me, but at least we want something real instead a patchwork that only leads to a maintenance nightmare.


    Talk to your mates, tell everybody to hit v-mode, it is not going to be the end of the world because the game already sucks. However, if you still want to keep proving User something he already knows, I won't stop you.

    I know a lot more than you do, The crow , and it's exhausting hearing every time you get beat it's cheating, especially when this game supports 💳. Yes, it's possible for someone to have two IP addresses. Do I believe the majority of the player base is doing it like you claim? No. If I had to estimate it, it would likely be around 10-30% of the player base.


    Again, I have my own extensive reasons for doubting you because I had my entire Warcraft guild playing and most of them played in a way that you would consider illegal multis because their entire purpose was to block island slots, donate to the islands, and make incredible trade deals with only a few of us in the alliance. Why did they do this? Because after developing your account, it only takes minutes a week to do so.


    Finally, the entire reason what happened in your post is because of tenders which badidol has said will be fixed.

    I actually have respect for you vmoding Killjoy . The game made a change you didn't like so at least you decided you're not going to play anymore. Personally, if you're not playing, I feel like your time would be better spent elsewhere than on the forums for a game you quit.


    Whether or not the community has what it wants, the reality is to undo infinite upgrades would upset a large enough amount of the player base that I don't see it changing.

    If you believe they cheated, use the report player button. As trades like that require the black market and/or the trading post, it's easy for a GO to check. If they don't get banned, they didn't break the rules. 500k generals is a lot but 1m gold isn't much at all.


    Fair is relative. If they have players willing to support them in their endeavors, it becomes an it is what it is system. Again, don't discount the power of 💳. If someone wants to beat you, they can always 💳 to beat you.

    I forgot to address this. The reality is they can advertise anything they want. That doesn't mean you can purchase it and get away with it. It also doesn't mean it isn't a lie or a scam. This isn't something unique to Ikariam, every game has similar people advertising similar services.


    I've already posted an example of someone who thought everyone was botting in Ikariam, decided to also bot, then got upset when he got banned. (I'd repost it, but I got warned for "making fun of someone" when I was simply trying to point out here's an example of someone who thought everyone was cheating, tried the cheat, then immediately got banned.)


    The more amusing part to me is that you think this is something personal against you. It isn't. I simply disagree with your premise (and Killjoy's, etc.) because the reality is that, as players, we do not have the tools available to determine if someone is or isn't cheating, especially since it's hard to distinguish cheating from spending.


    I used to believe what you believed that people simply valued their money more than to spend it frivolously on virtual items until I met a mobile game developer. He had a simple single player game with a talent tree and you'd play the game to get exp to unlock talent points. He told me how he couldn't believe people would spend $100s on buying talent points instead of just playing the game.


    I'll give you the same advice I've given you before. If you really believe everyone who has more points than you, a higher general score, etc., are cheating, then quit playing. That's the only way you'll ever know peace, but I'll also advise that you never play another online multiplayer game again.

    I didn't hit v-mode because "they won". I hit v-mode because I noticed my ROI will be always negative with the current settings. It doesn't make sense playing this game anymore.


    The Crow, don't take it personally, I have nothing against you, but I noticed posting here won't be enough as long as players do something about it. In the end, it is a company looking for profit.


    Talk to your mates, see if they can hit v-mode for a while. If the game is dying, let's kill it together. All of us.... from all communities.

    At the end of the day, it's a game, and if you don't enjoy it you shouldn't play, though I imagine a lot of us suffer from the sunk cost fallacy. Personally, I don't have a problem with the game and if I did, I'd just quit cold turkey like I did before. I'm likely going to be doing a lot of graveyarding after the merge anyways.

    Well, it is a fallacy, because it is pretty clear the ROI is negative. No wishful thinking, it is just the reality. People keep playing and that's what matters to the deciders, that's why nothing changes. They are the ones who run the engines of the company, and I refuse to be part of this nonsense.


    By the way, I like the game, I just don't like what it has become.

    Well, I'm happy with the changes, and I feel like we have a lot more flexibility than we've ever had before, but YMMV.

    It's mostly due to the difference in tenders. The defender has over 2x as many. They will fix doctors/tenders soon per badidol.

    x20 hp means x20 tenders (200hp heal x 400 tenders) still fills all units in this case, in fact tenders cap at 700 then diminishing returns, anything above is wasted.

    It is all pure upgrades

    They're still under the 700 limit which is a big contributing factor.
