The remaining big players in VIET are more focused on killing their own MS to make Marble Hades is very funny to me,
I was attacked and pillaged 5 times overnight and lost over 750K resources before I even knew there was a war. It would have been nice to have had an announcement from VIET, even it was just a couple hours ahead of time. Of course, the VIET member attacked me in the dead of night while I was sleeping, before announcing the war. And now they are whining and want peace?
Here's what VIET needs to do first: Tell our Diplomat you want peace. Stand Down your troops to defensive positions. Remove at least SOME of your towns from Lost areas. Fix ALL of your leeching Temples.

This conflict was started over the actions of a leech. An unwillingness by VIET’s leadership to acknowledge the problem or use any of diplomacy turned a leeching wonder into an all-out war. Here we are, 5 months later, trying to talk to VIET’s leadership again and getting nothing but crickets. It is obvious this is an alliance that doesn’t want to talk to people.
It is equally obvious that VIET is no longer interested in fighting. They have a few members willing to come visit our islands on occasion, but those get shut down quickly. For the last week, VIET has had a few players repeatedly “pillaging” the same empty towns on and around 18:80 despite never finding any goods.
On our side, we’re bored. Since the original problem (leeching) has been resolved and VIET doesn’t appear to be interested in any kind of official NAP or piracy truce, we are simply calling this war over.

There will be no refunds of pillaged goods. Tuantam specifically is the LAST person in your alliance that has any cause to expect a refund. We have members who had to spend ambrosia to warp away from his island after investing their donations in the wonder and the mines and their free town warps to get to that island in the first place. He has caused us unmentionable harm.

The biggest holidays of the year for us in the US are Thanksgiving and Christmas. The holiday season for us went from end of November to the end of the calendar year. We fought through all of that. You get no sympathy from us about your holiday plans being ruined by a game. VIET chose to make war instead of using diplomacy to solve an issue. This is your own doing.

This isn't up for a vote. We ended the war. And most of the people we've spoken with today from VIET agree to end things, so apparently you (whoever you are) don't speak for the rest of your alliance.
