New Spy Mission: Send citizens to temple

  • Hello,

    I didn't get it.

When you send a spy in a city, you can view the buildings of the city.

If someone has a temple level 20 and didn't assign any priest, you already know it.

Could be helpfull eventually if you want to know the assignations in all the cities but it's far too specific for me.

There is more urgent things to do and you can already do that by spying the coordinates of the cities and send spies in each.

You may not like me, but you can’t deny: I got style. (Thanks J.K. Rowling :D)

  • I could be wrong, but I think it was more of a missionary type thing... Where you send an infiltrating priest (or several) in there, to do conversion in the other person's city. What would be more interesting, is to be able to actually force them to assign priests to their temple. As in convert citizens in their city to become priests.

That's the way I took the suggestion also.. that it would force the temple in that town to be assigned more priests, it wouldn't work though the owner could just go in there and change it.. or I guess you could lock them out of their own temple.. but what happens if the town has zero available citizens?

What happens if you use this multiple times to boost their faith beyond 100%? that would be funny if someone got forced into subsiding the islands faith.. the reverse of leeching.

then again if you're a leech you might only have a lv1 temple which ain't enough to do squat with as far as faith.

  • Perhaps a solution to faith leeching:

Make it so that occupied towns don't count towards island faith level. and not a spy mission

Maybe go even further and implement different occupation types. You could still have default in where troop upkeep would be 200%, or you could choose one of the new types where upkeep of occupying troops would be 400%.

Here are the examples of such occupation regimes:

    1. Harsh treatments: -250 city happiness

    2. Religious prosecution: City is removed from island faith level

    3. Extorting taxes: you get 10% of city gold income

    4. Technology stealing: you get 10% of enemy research points produced in that city

    5. Resource allocations: you get 10% of that town resource production in that city

Maybe add a limit of X amount of occupying troops in town to implement such occupation regimes (based on town hall level perhaps)

  • I've long wanted them to privatize faith on a town by town basis but GF thinks it brings an element of cooperation.. sure.. but they don't give us tools for dealing with bad actors esp accounts that exist solely to nuke a wonder which no one plays and no one cares if you occupy.
