Hard to believe anyone falls for "new" servers anymore in this game.
That well has got be pretty dry by now. -

The ares SERVER do seems to be more active.
The fact is that there are no national war servers because they were too inactive and the developers had to bring all national servers into single global one. just stop pretending that war servers are popular with players. They resonate with very small niche group of players. let's call a spade a spade
Again i am not against war servers, if people want to play on them - good for them, and it is nice to see a brand new war server. lets just hope it will not end up as an empty wasteland.

At the single war server there are indeed a lot of currently active players, but by far not "than all other servers combined" pangaia 1 is most of the time more active and pangaia 4 is about the same (sometimes more, sometimes less).
But you have to take into account that all existing war servers were merged into 1. while with global servers players had to start from starch, with entirely new accounts. moreover the normal global servers have to compete against normal national servers, which are even more popular if taken combined (remember that war servers don't have national server equivalence)
The more fair comparison will be this brand new global war server, compared to existing normal global servers.
I hope it will do well. I will not play on it, it is not really my cup of tea. but if people like them let them play on them. who am i to judge

You won't believe how many players actually they do spend bucks, but don't pay GF for ambrosia, just to be at the top.
Unless the bot farms are created by Gameforge as seemingly legal accounts, that would explain why you don't take action against them, actually. -

I was comparing it to all "normal" servers combined. However, it is also more active than the other global servers.
It seems you were comparing it to all >american< servers combined. this game has many other communities some are a lot more active than US one.
The first global server pangaia 1 (451) usually has slightly more players than ares global 1 (428) - but that is not my main point.
Again you cannot compare those servers like for like as ares global has every player who has played on every national war server (they got merged) and pangaia 1 has only players who started playing there from new account.
The more fair comparison would be with ares global 2 to normal global servers. Since there too players will have to start from starch (again for perfect 1 to 1 comparison since we don't have war servers equivalence to national servers, and there are 5 global servers and only 1 new global war server. but it is close enough). But for that we will have to wait few more months for new server to settle down, for people to join and for player base to settle down.
Currently it is not looking good for ares global 2, as it has 0 currently active players - but it is far too early to say anything as it just started today

I'd say it is fairly promising, as there are currently 170 active players on it, since your post 17 minutes ago.

Oh yes, my mistake. it must gave been some kind of display bug. now it is showing correct number to me too (318 currently).
But as stated before lets wait a few months to see how many players will leave and how many will still come.

Thats not true. The server was allready opend.
