This is an event and since you are not 1st (it hasn't started yet), the badge is not active.

No, this is a PvE event.

If you actually read what it says, it clearly states that this in town hall is for choosing the badge.
If you finish the event on rank 1 you can earn that badge.
As for the event itself: read the news. While Version 11.0.0 brings in the requirements for the event, we haven't started it yet.
The news were very clear about that.

The event also brings new achievements, yes.
New items so far only one visible: Athena's wisdom to decrease crystal costs for experiments.
Other new items require them to be part of the actual shop setup, which they are currently not.

When the only place where the name Athena was mentioned was the monuments, I wondered if they had updated that monument.
So you're saying it will appear in the first experiment after today's update, right?
its already there
it will ask you upon doing an experiment
Kind of bad adding an extra click to do an experiment but it is what it is
