ya posiden means nothing, it also does'nt use cargo ships.. seems like an ambrosia grab for triton engines.
entire wave of troops are lost it's just a troop burn off.
you have to look at the report to see what units was effective but It might change round to round not sure yet.
highly doubt the rewards will match the costs, but we'll see.
in the reports it appears below
Heh. I have so many CRs I hadn't scrolled that far down.
I have noticed that the travel time is not affected by Poseidon.
Yes, it doesn't just work with ambrosia, nor does Hephaestus work, apparently Hades shouldn't work either

the rewards for example you caused a total of 10,000 giving, this damage will be converted into resources
Please tell me that there is going to be a way to close the hydra milestone bar. It is right in the middle of the screen.
This hydra monster might be the dumbest thing GF has ever created for this game. It's as if whoever designed it is a complete noob in the game and just fights by throwing in whatever they have into a battle. It's a shame because the feature had a ton of potential if done differently.
This wasn't tested on the test server, was it?
This seems like a way to add something tedious just for the sale of adding something.
I sent a navy at the hydra just to see what it was. I chose units that would approximately fill up a medium sized battle field as there is no way to know what they best units are. Why is that? You have to pick the right units but you just have to guess. It is silly.
I got no combat report and my whole force seems to have died in the action. Is this normal? I got no combat report. Is that normal?
So far this feels very incomplete. I send units and they just disappear. When the first hydra was defeated I got no message. A batch of units arrived too late and turned around. No message.
Not fun.
Yeah, there is a return time for the troops listed. I wasn't expecting 100% losses. There is no hint at all as to the best combination of troops to send. This is just nonsense.

near as I can tell you send trops see how they preformed and then send more of the effective ones.. and it's completely random I sent 1 slinger that had 120? 140% effectiveness lol.. a slinger.. yes he succeded where men with muskets failed.. yup.
I appreciate that the dev's are coming up with new ideas and still adding things to a game this age.. and please if the dev team is reading this I mean no disrespect.
But this thing is idiotic.

lol I think I once suggestd I should be able to publicly execute soldiers and citizens to combat corruption or improve morale (I guess thru fear)
ran out of wine, protests.. eh.. ya'll never had it so good.. 10 of you report to the gallows right now..
ya'll aren't mining fast enough.. a dozen of you to the fire pit.. maybe it will entertain the remaining workers or at at least motivate their improved output.
Good tip guys and you can find out which units to use in each objective and save them for future events, so you will already have an idea of which formation to use in each round.
Ok this is how it's done:
Alliance / friends talk and share info which unit they send and which units are most effective.
Once that is figured out, you mass produce / buy said units and send them to fight. (It is random, could be that 500 spearmen are doing way better than Giants).
So the first step is to talk with your alliance / friends and figure out how to kill the bad guy in most effective way.
After the hydra dies, the new one will be completely different and new properties will determine the new best units to send to hell.
Eventually, you will give tons of resources and if you are in top 10, you will return most of them (hopefully) and if you are in top 3 you'd receive even more stuff making the whole fight and time spent so much rewarding (again - hopefully)
If the devs matched the fight compared to other games world bosses, even 0 dmg from sending 1 unit should register you in the prize pool.
Now, the question is, how are the prizes delivered - individual score x ??? res or top 10% top 30% top 50% , the rest get to obtain set prizes.
Suggestion:
The boss SHOULD do harm to players so the server is obligated to destroy it for the event period as much as possible.
Things like (for people who fight it only or whole server....)
Town was attacked by Hydra, all population died.
Island / Mine was attacked by Hydra, all workers died.
Town was attacked by Hydra, it will demolish %random% building in 1 hour if not killed in that time (more expensive buildings take more time to demolish)
Town was attacked by Hydra, XXX res is lost / eaten / hour until it dies.
and of course the rewards for defeating it, should be covering the potential negatives.
Basically if left unchecked for long period of time by the whole server, people lose a lot.
Yes, I know I am evil.
What are the percentages? The higher percentages more effective?
So it appears, that no matter how effective the units are, they all die?!!!

yeah, it appears that is their effectiveness for each Hydra

Highest I have seen is 120%, Lowest I have seen is 69% (Probably some devs joke)
Higher is better

think it ranges from 0% to 200% XD
yeah.... the loss of 3k generals for probably nothing in return is dumb. I got a measely 1500 damage, while the top guys on the server are near 30k.....
