Server merger proposal as Ikariam League

  • I respect the company's decisions for the current merger but I would ask the community managers to evaluate this idea in the future.


    01. I suggest 4 worlds with the same settings and players split based on their level (score). Stability since there will never be mergers again. After each merger we are forced to adjust productions, wonders, temples and all our design. And the company saves money on servers and staff to develop the game and not just maintain it.


    02. There should be development criteria to move someone from 1 server to the next one with the biggest players. Equity in the development of all players. It is not possible to start on a server with large productions and then, after developing faster, be transferred to a server without bonuses. Players who have been playing for 15 years and players who have been playing for 2 years cannot be found after mergers. With this system we will have to deal with players of the same size.


    03. Only the wonders that have substance and are popular with the players should remain. If the basic wonders remain there will be no difficulty finding suitable islands, making alliance cores and not being scattered with difficulty in travel times, trade and battles. The company will have to manage less populated worlds with active players that will bring them revenue.


    04. There should be a maximum army limit depending on the size of the account. No more army warehouse accounts that create insecurity for everyone. All double mini accounts will be all together on the server with the smaller players. If the time some people spend running multiple accounts was spent developing one properly they would have a better result. Community admins would make their job easier and limit tickets from reports.


    05. Make realistic planning so that each account completes all building upgrades in 10 to 20 years. It currently takes over 1 century for each account to terminate. We will also put the Ikariam accounts in our will for our grandchildren to inherit...


    The above is well-intentioned to improve everyone's game. Let's not forget that it's a company that supports the game and if we don't suggest ways to save resources from day-to-day management to go into game development none of what we're talking about matters.

  • 1 & 2: this would split up friends and alliances, so no

    3: revamp the underutilized wonders by making their cool downs shorter or their effects stronger.. or just replace them with player voted options..
    But I agree most of the wonders are pretty useless.

    4: eh.. not 100% on the details of this but no.. I do agree troop banks are BS though.. just get rid of the black market altogether.

    5: we talked about it when they introduced the new building levels.. ain't hapening.. they dont' want you to ever run out of road.

    Will it take forever to get max it out? yup.. that's the point.

  • The real solution to wonders is letting us upgrade them beyond 5 and upgrades beyond 5 reduces the cool down and/or reduces the number of priests required.
