Server Merge Additional Questions

  • They might be maximizing their gold income before starting productions of resources after donating everything. some people don't want to increase the amount of workers every 12 hours when a mine upgrades.

There are 8 towns on the island.

Sawmill and Mine are still Level 1 and no one is hiring workers.

I believe some people are waiting to see if slots open up. That's all I can figure.

  • What server/community are you talking about? This is what I see when I tried to put offers in Pluto and Mino EN.

    BG community Phi world.

But how could it get so low in the first place? especially now in first 2 weeks after merge, when mines are at low levels and everybody is producing a lot of gold. and on old servers it was always 5 - 15 range, i have never seen anything like this.

This surely must have been done on purpose by somebody.

I think that's just the natural starting point. I agree, it's annoying.

    Lets hope so.

i just think that nobody in their right mind will be selling anything as such low price. i hope it will change soon enough and that it wont be stuck in perpetual loop forever.

  • This is on Phi / Bulgarian server, the one with 460 bots for gold, the one where black traders sell a stash of 107mil generals.

This person in particular is a serbian who is so rich, even tho their Mines were known to be 50-60 levels on their original server Epsilon, he basically wants to buy all the sulfur of his enemies and had been offering 13~15 ea just to drain their reserves and I am expecting to start attacking once they remove the sulfur of their enemies by just buying it high XD

btw we used to sell at 4-5 in Zeta and many traders did carry over with such prices. They were emptied instantly.

  • Thank you for informations.

That is just awful it makes it almost impossible for normal people to play the game. how are you supposed to make trading worth it at 4 gold per resource! around 10 is fair price if you ask me.

And how exactly could prices drop so low if he was mass buying sulfur at whatever price possible? Shouldn't prices go up then? and what about other resources is he also responsible for them? i have so many questions

Prices of 4-5 was a normal price for sulfur, wine, wood for Zeta server for years.

Only Marble and crystal were 8-10.

That price is formed with taking base 3 gold / citizen.
The players who resided there didn't use multi accounts to farm excessive gold that drove other servers to have inflated prices.

Example: I can make 3 gold with a citizen (5 with Plutos), or dig 4 wood.

Selling wood at 4 gold is quick and easy way to gain gold. If you place the price to 7, it would never sell!
Selling wood at 4 means that citizen makes 16 gold now.

if we had 400+ alts that famed gold for us, than the inflation would be at place, but guess that was not a thing on Zeta.
Rarely somebody played with premium trader to buy billions of wood, sulfur @ 4 and convert them to other res ;)

And while serbs on Epsilon had lv 60/5x mines, Zeta players had only 2-3 islands with forest 50+, most mines were 25-35!!!

  • Sorry to continue a little more out of subject of the thread, a problem a "carried" with me from the old world: when freighters were introduced, I think I remember that I used them to sell goods. Now, when I try, even if I select how many to use and fill the amount I want to sell, when press sell it returns, "Your trade fleet doesn't have enough space" (even though right above it depicts merchant, mercenary, and freighter ships).

The way the bug has been explained to me, this will happen unless you have more resources of that type than the offer asks for in the trading post.

  • I just checked the other server (builder server - option 2)

There the gold costs are "normal" all resources are 5-15. only wine is 6-16

Is there a way form me and couple of my alliance mates to "fix" this by buying and selling at max cost or would it take too long. I literally have no idea if that would even work.

What you consider "normal" maybe is just local to your old server.

If many gold bots = inflation.

  • Is it possible to do a server split? Every marble island I can find has 16 towns. The server is also hard to play because it is slow.

    What server?

  • The best thing I can suggest, is to burn through resources to safe limit and put your account into gold mode and then let it graveyard. You can then come out of graveyard into a different server.

  • I agree with Scythe, you're going to have to Graveyard. If you didn't merge immediately, there's likely nothing left.

Before you recover from the GY, make sure to make a scouting account on whatever server you want to try ending up on.

Nobody is selling anything at those absurd prices. at 4-5 gold i am literally willing to buy anything. i have 300m gold and i would buy 60m of resources tomorrow if i could - does not even matter which ones. i still have some premium traders in inventory.

The problem are the artificial limits to resource prices. currently no one is selling and people cannot increase the price.

I also play on Perseus EN. Server lagg is not too bad anymore. But I agree that all marble island I can find, are full.

Graveyard the account or wait, since the merge phase ended a lot of inactive accounts also joined the server, there will be free marble spots in the future. But Marble islands with good wonders is gonna be a real problem in the long run.

Yes, keep selling/buying at top price and it should drive the prices up. Back in the day we manage to drive prices of wood up to the 90s per piece in rho when it existed. I have no idea how long it will take.

  • Perseus has been overwhelmed by bully's(PH LV) and they are asking for money to keep them from attacking you so maybe not the best place to go right now.

Extortion is illegal but they dont care.

600 euros is the going rate or they will turn you into farms.

Yes it has been reported also.

All I can ask is why? Just why? Why did you insist on doing this? Hardy anyone seemed happy with the options they proposed for the merge. I never met anyone who thought the merge was needed. When they finally put it up for vote on discord all the options were unpopular. Then they announced they were going forward and you could almost hear the *bleep* you all behind it in the announcement.

Everything was fine. I think the ideal number of player is 1000 or 1500 on a server. Then you can usually get the resource or miracle you want close to where you want even if you need to go a little farther to get both.

If they hadn't for some reason decided to make some circles a lot more useful then. The ideal number would be higher. But that's just another *bleep you*.

You have people joining a server and you have to be assigning their marble towns with stone masons built to non-marblr islands. But do we hear anything like. "We should have listened to our customers." or "We admit we messed up and messed up big." or "We apologize." or an option to move to another server for free? Nope!. You can hear yet another *bleep* you in the silence.
