Server Merge Additional Questions

  • Will the new target servers have the same Wonders on the same islands as the old servers?

So that maybe we can choose beforehand the exact coordinates we are going to move our cites (if we are fast enough that is).

They will run the same is PI and newer servers.

  • lagu What time will the server merger start? US says 8/14 but what time zone? and what time?

Are you going to be using the server time? 0hour?

since Alpha and Beta are using the old original wonder layout.. any chance we could get like a 15min head start on everyone else ;P

  • This merge seems like a prank... They should start the islands at level 10 or level 20 mines/mills or give significant level time reduction.

It will take over a year of time leveling to even get to the same sawmill levels(50+) I have currently on Alpha/Beta (US). To even produce enough wine to keep my population from leaving is over a week of leveling assuming I am online to level the vineyard immediately after it upgrades, not including supplying wine to other towns.

Real excited to hardly play the game for 6 months trying to get level 45 townhalls happy again on new islands...

The Pangaia servers use the EN subdomain so I will presume all of those servers will be merged too under the EN umbrella?

  • It excludes the global Pangaia servers.

IIRC, I've heard there is a time reduction in leveling up the mills as part of the festival bonus, but I'm not sure.

Honestly, they really should make it so you can continue to donate even if a mill or lux is getting upgraded, if it's maxed out, it just immediately starts the next upgrade.

  • I dug up an old post. Here's what Festival of Worlds does.

    • 1000 satisfaction in all towns.
    • +2% speed for merchant ships
    • Expansion time for resource mines amounts to a max. of 12 hours.

    Festival of Worlds Bonuses

  • Also, from the FAQ.

What is the Festival of Worlds event?
During the event, various bonuses will be activated. There will be two periods for the Festival of Worlds:

    • 14 days at the beginning of the merges
    • 18 days at the end of the merges

So you have 32 days to take advantage of the buff.

The sawmill starts taking over 12 hours at level 20 and the luxury resource starts at 15.

Sawmill takes 3d13h to get to 20. Luxury takes 2d8h to get to 15.

Sawmill would take 23d13h to max and Lux would take 24d20h.

  • This 1000 satisfation is a joke, compared to the 6000+ citizens towns.

I assume that we will lose all the CTs, wine income will also be a joke if starting from L1, so to keep up the population in the first days will be close to impossible.

12 hours just way too long.....
don't know why setting 12 hours?

1~4 hours just fine`, at least 8 hours

  • Yeah, I know for older players it's problematic. What's your build? All wine towns?

  • we have friends together~~
    at least donation 8 billion

    12 hours make no sense
Just let us have comfortable server merge
This is third time server merge...

  • I wasn't defending the length of time. I was simply stating that, as is, if you use the entire festival, you can at least get the sawmill and the luxury mine back up to max. Personally, I don't see why it couldn't be capped at 4 hours and you should be allowed to donate for the next level while it's building to chain build.

That is good ideas, but gameforge don't care
not all players can focus the entire festival
work...etc anything player can't focus on the game

  • No, I am on a very old server, with cities across all resources. I only have 3 wine towns because this is enough for every towns, 6 on sulphur with forge, 1 crystal just for fun and Poseidon and the rest are on marble.

  • But you have lv 50 wine press in all cities. That be 4-5 wine cities with lv 32

  • yes I have a couple all wine town accounts with all 40+ townhalls

    • Housing space: 6751/ 6751
  • Why hasn't there been an in-game announcement from GameForge about the merge? Very few people from inside the game check out the board, especially ever since the old board went away. There are a lot of people in the older worlds that have been playing Ikariam for over 12 years and have never done a merge before, and have never started another account on a newer server. There should at least be a mass in-game announcement to let everyone know. Possibly even send an email to everyone that has accounts on v-mode.

    Because GameForge don't care
GameForge: We give you a plan and give you time, the rest is your problem
This is my third time merge
