Will there be a period of enforced peace - i.e. everyone in god mode - during the merger? It would suck if you were prevented from teleporting a city by being attacked.
At least 38 days until the merge, activate Plutus in all towns, build massive army 3 days prior to merge.
That wouldn't prevent the town lock in any case.
Anyway, I think at the start of the merge everyone is more worried about organising their own spots, alliance spots and all other jambo instead of slowboating some random guy.

I just realized it's been 23 years! That's not really recent, is it? Bet there are a bunch of players here that dont even remember the terror attacks. Damn I feel old.

So I consider it recent public memory.
If Dec 7th was picked probably fewer people would recognize that one.
what about 28.7 (start of ww1), or 1.9. (start of ww2) or 8.5. / 9.5. (end of ww2) or 6.8. (Hiroshima bombings) or 26.4 (Chernobyl disaster) or 4.6. (Tiananmen Square Massacre) or 27.1. (holocaust remembrance day) all those days are even more inappropriate than 11.9.

Because that has nothing to do with each other and you have to do things some time. If you panic over who might be offended on what day, you'll never get to do anything because guess what: life happened on pretty much EVERY possible date and something bad happened at pretty much any time for someone. You can't plan your stuff around these things because there simply is no "around" when you publish in 30+ language areas.

What is the point of having a "US" then? We could just as easily have been part of EN.
You already pushed the merger back already.. but you can't swap US with someone else on that date? We're not asking you to change the overall schedule just the order by swapping US with some other community,

I under stand you can't make accommodations for someones work schedule or vacation but you're comparing that to 9/11 and I know Germany

The merge dates are not a problem.
Not even, if you try to discuss one into it.
And they are as announced.
The merge phase is long enough to make it completely irrelevant when it begins. Anyone who, for whatever reason, can't choose their target server on 11.09., can choose it at any given point in time after that.
We will not delay the merge again for reasons other than mentioned before and 09.11. being 09.11. is not a valid reason to tinker around with the batches as they are scheduled and planned. And that's the last thing I am going to say about this.

Not sure if they finalized the settings yet, The dates have been updated at Merges Ikariam 2024

Thanks man, I really wish they would update the message board though.. or just get rid of the message baord and make discord the only outlet for communications this disparity of information on 2 different platforms is maddening.
