I guess not every announcement in Discord is published in the forum, but they posted a picture like this, guys, I thought I'd let those of us who don't use Discord know. 
The two soldiers on the left of the picture must be looking at the Sirens with love in the middle of the sea instead of fighting the monster.

Can I point out that in the picture the boards in the hydra's mouth are rectangular and thus inconsistent with the piece missing from the ship?

You captured the detail well, but it could also be a clue to another creature.
The archers on the right seem to be aiming at something else.
Need to increase GP. War may be coming with sea monsters and dragons on land. There are great rewards for the winners. The new version puts piracy in the background.

So far I don't think we've heard anything about what the actual Rewards are going to look like.
We only know there will be Rewards, but that's it.
The size of the Rewards could very well decide whether it's going to be an irrelevant feature, or way bigger then Piracy, but then again, we don't know details yet.
Furthermore, nothing suggests it competes with piracy in any form.
You can do both. Piracy is fairly different to other mechanics as is.

Hydra and Siren are two different mythological creatures in Greek mythology:
**Hydra (Hydra of Lerna):**

I'll make a guess. Are you ask the AI what Hydra and Sirens are? Because it seems that the AI wrote the same thing over and over again and also wrote it wrong.

The AI must have confused the creature named Siren with Harpy.
It doesn't make sense to fight something with a bird body in the middle of the sea.

Yes, I know it's a new feature, but currently with barbarians, you have to get a map then you can fight them at sea.

No, I haven't. That's a really well written suggestion. I just know how Ogame's expeditions work and I figured it'd be a similar feature.
I hope this will be something PvE multiple players could engage with. Perhaps something like barbarians but for multiple people at once, so you have to cooperate to take them down. More stuff to do with alliances and friends
